Henry Russell Bruce Celebrates Return Downtown

Henry Russell Bruce (HRB), an advertising and strategic marketing firm, celebrated its return to downtown Cedar Rapids on May 14 with a welcome back open house party.

Ten months after historic flooding caused substantial property damage, HRB is settled back into its location at 200 Fifth Avenue SE in the Borden Hutchinson building.

“We are very happy to be back downtown and we wanted to celebrate our return with our friends, colleagues and clients,” explained Steve Erickson, HRB president.

Besides appetizers and drinks, guests were able to try their skills at “Carr’s Par,” a 57 foot long putting contest, done in memory of the company’s late president, Brian Carr, and to take a ride on a Segway Personal Transporter.

“The Segway represented both our ‘segue’ back downtown as well as offering a memorable ‘wow’ experience to our guests,” said Erickson. “It’s the kind of ‘wow” we work to deliver to our clients every day.”

Several door prizes were awarded to guests who attended the party.
