First of all, before I get all sentimental in my last blog entry, I just wanted to let you know that the editing session yesterday was amazing! MVP actually uses Final Cut Pro to edit video which is the same software I used when I worked as a reporter at DITV. Sitting in on the editing session made me realize how much I miss editing video. I think overall the client was really happy with the way the final product turned out!
As one chapter in my life comes to an end, and another one is about to begin, it’s amazing to look back on the past four years. In college, I have met some of the most amazing people and I take with me hundreds of memories that will last a lifetime. My college career flew by and I am so very thankful for all the opportunities that I was given at the University of Iowa. It is very bittersweet to say goodbye to college and to say hello to the “REAL” world and a “real” job. I definitely won’t miss being broke all the time, but I know I will truly miss my friends and the college lifestyle.
I want to thank the entire HRB staff for this amazing opportunity and for teaching me things that I could not have learned in a classroom. I don’t know if it is possible to find a greater group of people to work with. I especially want to thank Inga for taking the time to help me get the most out of my internship at HRB and for giving me some of the best feedback possible.
So… goodbye HRB, goodbye college, goodbye Iowa… it has been an amazing ride… but its time for me to move on and close this chapter of my life!
