To show their customers that they could reap big savings by being energy efficient, Alliant Energy and HRB developed a campaign that made some noise.
As part of the Art of Efficiency campaign, HRB developed a TV spot that had a simple message: Old appliances may be good at making noise, but they're not good at being energy efficient. We then urged viewers to visit Alliant's Web site to learn more about how they can save money with energy-efficient appliances. The campaign also included print and radio spots.
The result? Rebates increased and participation in the program went up.
